Edbrand August Workshops

Edbrand is back with its next set of intellectually stimulating workshops for our high school students this August in Gurgaon and Delhi!

  1. Gurgaon - Project Management and Planning (7 August 2019, 4.30 to 6.30 p.m.)
The aim of this workshop is to teach participants how to use a Logframe to aid project planning and ensure project efficiency. While the Logframe originated from a planning approach used by the US military and was later adopted by USAID in the 1960s for development projects, it can be applied in a host of other areas. The Logframe can be a particularly helpful tool for students when they are initiating their own business projects, community projects, and research papers.

  2. Creative Writing (9 August 2019, 4.30 to 6.30 p.m.)
Learn how to put your imagination into words using a sensory approach. Watch your writing come to life using simple exercises.

  3. Delhi - Conscience and Empathy (10 August 2019, 2 to 4 p.m.)
Attend this workshop to understand how and why you can help your community, by discovering causes you care about and designing sustainable social projects.

  4. Gurgaon - Design Thinking (11 August 2019, 12 to 2 p.m.)
This workshop will provide you with a simple, fun and solution-based approach to problem-solving which can be applied to projects, assignments, and even your life. Join and learn how to empathize, and define the problem you want to solve, and then ideate and create interactive prototypes in sessions that can fit into an hour.

  5. Gurgaon - Critical Thinking (13 August 2019, 4.30 to 6.30 p.m.)
This workshop will help you understand how to consider multiple perspectives and arguments while looking at any situation or topic. You will learn how to weigh the strengths and weaknesses, the validity and reasonings of different claims. These skills will eventually help with writing academically when you must present your own arguments and claims.

We suggest that all students try and attend at least two workshops each cycle.

Outstation students can/should join us over a video call.
