Prateek Swain- Princeton University Class of 2019
Hey Arjun!
So great to hear from you after a long time. I'm glad to hear the next batch of kids are doing well. December's around the corner so I suppose you're going to get super busy again haha.
I am absolutely in love with college. This sounds cheezy but everyday I feel like "dang, I cant believe I'm living this life". Classes are hard (especially princeton math, whose full force I'm facing right now) and homework is exhausting but college is a loooot of fun.
I'm taking Intro to Macro Economics, Intro to Computer Science, Multivariable Calculus and a Freshman Seminar about urban myths.
I've joined the Princeton Entrepreneurship-Club through the HackPrinceton organising team, Princeton South Asian Theatrics (we do comedy skits, had our show last to last week), and the Model UN Team here (part of International Relation Council).
Honestly, I see a lot of smart legacy kids here, and tons of kids who're really really good at one thing (performed at Carnegie Hall, olympic swimmer, kid with 5 IMO medals etc.) but as long as you show yourself to be smart enough to keep up with academics and do relatively really well in ECs I suppose you should be fine? Everyone I see over here is passionate about something or the other.
Best,
Prateek
