Join us in an immersive Art and Sustainability walk with students from Allegheny College this May!

Dear all,

We are excited to announce a collaboration with Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Ishita Sinha Roy and Beth Watkins (Professors of Communication and Theater Arts at Allegheny) and their group of 16 students are visiting India as part of the El India Summer Abroad Program - an experiential learning seminar which involves investigation media and the arts through a historical lens. We have set out one to do their activities with them!

Join us as cultural ambassadors and interact with college students from Allegheny. Learn from their experiences as you share with them yours, while engaging in a cultural transfusion in your own city!

12 students will be selected to join the excursion based on their responses to a short essay prompt included in the registration form below.

Who should attend?

All students in grades 9 to 12 interested in Art, Design, Social Service, Entrepreneurship, Environment and Sustainability, or even simply exploring Delhi with a group of exploration enthusiasts!

What’s the plan?

  • Meet with their group over lunch at Saket, Delhi NCR at 12 noon.

  • Following lunch, we will explore the picturesque street art on the building walls of Khirkee Extension.

  • We will also tour KHOJ’s (a not-for-profit cultural organization for the promotion of the arts) office, and then stop at Swechha–a social enterprise that works to ‘upcycle’ goods.

  • End the day with an interactive discussion session at Hotel Leela Palace.

Note: There is no fee or cost involved. Students will only have to manage their transportation to the meeting point and back from Hotel Leela Palace. The meeting point will be announced closer to the event date.
