The layout at the venue will have eight tables with thought-provoking activities, puzzles, games and problems where students learn in a workshop format. We hope to give students an opportunity to engage in creative solving of difficult problems, but in an environment that’s much more friendly and collaborative instead of competitive.

  1. Critical Thinking: This workshop will help you understand how to consider multiple perspectives and arguments while looking at any situation or topic. You will learn how to weigh the strengths and weaknesses, the validity and reasonings of different claims. These skills will eventually help with writing academically when you must present your own arguments and claims.

  2. Conscience and Empathy: Attend this workshop to understand how and why you can help your community, by discovering causes you care about and designing sustainable social projects.

  3. Design Thinking: This workshop will provide you with a simple, fun and solution-based approach to problem-solving which can be applied to projects, assignments, and even your life. Join and learn how to empathize, and define the problem you want to solve, and then ideate and create interactive prototypes in sessions that can fit into an hour.

  4. Creative Writing: Learn how to put your imagination into words using a sensory approach. Watch your writing come to life using simple exercises.

  5. Research Methodologies and Tools: How to do a case study? What is a randomized control trial? What is a survey? Learn how to conduct rigorous research in various environments and across disciplines. This is a precursor to learning good academic writing for research projects.
