I met with a rising high school junior in New Delhi earlier today. He had been admitted to United World College, Pune but his parents weren't sure and didn't confirm with the school. The kid seemed perfect for UWC with a great academic record and all-around extra-curricular interests. The family is looking for financial-aid when he applies to colleges for Fall 2014 admissions and it made sense to be in a good 'Davis Scholar' partner school like UWC, Pune. I persuaded the family to re-consider their decision and hope they take the right call.
